Hi, I’m Ali, and I’m so happy you’re here!
I believe we should feel beautiful every single day. That’s why I created The Coterie and Ali Glaske Pro—so everyone has the opportunity to express themselves through their hair. With full dedication and transparency, I pour my heart into every service. I embrace the weird, celebrate the different, and always lead with grace.
A Little Hair History
My journey began in 2011 at Douglas J Aveda in Grand Rapids. From there, I took a leap to Michigan City, Indiana, to work at Timothy Jeffry Salon. Under the guidance of insanely talented stylists (shoutout to Tim!), I honed my craft—especially my love for short cuts.
Next, I landed at Affinity Salon in Saint Joseph, Michigan—THE go-to spot for bridal hair and makeup in Southwest Michigan. With an average of 65 weddings a year, I became a master of styling, creating breathtaking looks for countless brides.
But I was craving something new. In 2016, I moved to Ann Arbor to teach at Douglas J Aveda and help new stylists build their confidence. Two years later, I stepped into the role of Assistant Education Coach, sharpening my skills in every aspect of the industry—and life itself.
After COVID, I was ready to get back behind the chair and build real connections with clients again. That’s when I joined Douglas J Salon, met incredible people, and even got the chance to travel to ITALY!
Italy opened unexpected doors. I connected with the owner of a multicultural salon in Detroit, and before I knew it, I was the Lead Stylist, diving deep into the world of textured hair. I left that experience with confidence in curls and a new fire in my heart. It was also during this time that Ali Glaske Pro was born—a passion project that kept me pushing forward.
That adventure led me to Sprigs Hideaway in Ypsilanti, where I built an incredible clientele and, for the first time in eight years, truly felt at home in this city.
And now? A new door is opening—my very own salon! A space where I can be me and my clients can be themselves—fully, freely, and fearlessly.
